CONNECTIONS

50 Days of Vibrant Community: Starting today, for the next six Sundays, pastor Ken and the team will speak on creating and multiplying vibrant communities [small groups] in our congregation. It is our hope that 80% of our people will commit to be a part of a group, develop their faith and use their gifts to grow their community. Be sure to pick up a copy of spiritual health assessment and spiritual health plan, and share the results of your assessment with your group.

Imagine Heaven: What is heaven really going to be like? What will we look like? What will we do? Who will you bring with you to heaven? How will you live if you have heaven in your mind? We will find answer to these questions in E-7 at 11:30 a.m. Paul will be teaching this class today on angels.

ThrYve Community: Come fellowship with other young adults and study the book of 1 Corinthian this Friday. Contact Tiffany Lin at squeakypoof@gmail.com for more info.

Family Life Community: We’re currently focused on “Building Community.” We are watching videos, playing games, and spending time to share, pray, and support one another. Join us at 8 p.m. in E-8. Contact John Shao at john_shao@yahoo.com.

Women’s Community: We meet on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at Anni’s home, 8:30 a.m. Contact Anni for more info: wonganniy@yahoo.com. The group is discussing “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

Sunday Community: Sundays at 1:30 p.m. at the Cheng residence. Contact Paul at paul.c.cheng@gmail.com or Jack hijack@gmail.com for info. We are using Kay Arthur’s book “How to Study the Bible” this fall.

Light House Community: Meet at Andrew and Liz’s home on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in Temple City. Contact Andrew at Andrewlamcpa@yahoo.com. They are studying “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

YOUTH

Sunday Service: Pastor Ben will begin a new sermon series TODAY. Let's prepare our hearts.

Sunday school: All Sunday school classes resume at 11:30 a.m. TODAY.Pastor Ben will teach all junior high class in E-9. Auntie Anni, auntie Vicky, and auntie Virginia will teach Freshman and Sophomore class in E-10. Dr. Glenn will teach Junior and Senior class in pastor Ben's office.

Friday Night Fellowship: The Unshakeable Hope small group lessons will start on 01.17.20. Let's meet in youth center at 8:00 p.m. Invite your friends to join us. There will be no fellowship on 01.24.20 for Chinese New Year. Enjoy the celebration with your family.

2020YouthWinter Retreat: Let's join our 2020YouthWinter Retreat on 2/7-9 at Forest Home: Ojai Valley. Pastor Jonathan Yang will be our speaker and Peter Lee with his Undignified Praise Band will lead our worship. Ask your parents to sign up TODAY at the registration table in the cafeteria from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Price is $195/person. The last day to register is on 01.19.20. Baptism Class:Our new baptism class will begin on Sunday, 01.26.20 in youth center from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Talk to your parents and Pastor Ben after the service to join in.

Agape Caring Center

Seniors Spring Happiness Festival will be held on 2/8 (Sat.) 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at church. The purpose is to care for and bless the seniors. Seniors aged 60 or above are welcome to join "for free". Brothers and sisters are encouraged to invitenon-believer seniors to join us, and invite them to join the "Happiness Group" in the first half of the year! In addition to exciting programs, touching testimonies anddelicious food will be served and everyone will receive gifts and red envelope.
