CONNECTIONS

50 Days of Vibrant Community: For the next five Sundays, pastor Ken and the team will speak on creating and multiplying vibrant communities [small groups] in our congregation. It is our hope that 80% of our people will commit to be a part of a group, develop their faith and use their gifts to grow their community. Be sure to pick up a copy of spiritual health assessment and spiritual health plan, and share the results of your assessment with your group.

Imagine Heaven: What is heaven really going to be like? What will we look like? What will we do? Who will you bring with you to heaven? How will you live if you have heaven in your mind? We will find answer to these questions in E-7 at 11:30 a.m.

ThrYve Community: Come fellowship with other young adults and study the book of 1 Corinthian this Friday. Contact Tiffany Lin at squeakypoof@gmail.com for more info.

Family Life Community: We’re currently focused on “Building Community.” We are watching videos, playing games, and spending time to share, pray, and support one another. Join us at 8 p.m. in E-8. Contact John Shao at john_shao@yahoo.com.

Women’s Community: We meet on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at Anni’s home, 8:30 a.m. Contact Anni for more info: wonganniy@yahoo.com. The group is discussing “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

Sunday Community: Sundays at 1:30 p.m. at the Cheng residence. Contact Paul at paul.c.cheng@gmail.com or Jack hijack@gmail.com for info. We are using Kay Arthur’s book “How to Study the Bible” this fall.

Light House Community: Meet at Andrew and Liz’s home on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in Temple City. Contact Andrew at Andrewlamcpa@yahoo.com. They are studying “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

YOUTH

Sunday Service: Pastor Ben will continue sermon on the mount series TODAY. We will have a combined and communion service on Sunday, 01.26.20 at 9:30 a.m. in Chapel 2. Let's prepare our hearts.

Sunday school: All Sunday school classes begin at 11:30 a.m. TODAY.Pastor Ben will teach all junior high class in E-9. Auntie Anni, auntie Vicky, and auntie Virginia will teach Freshman and Sophomore class in E-10. Dr. Glenn will teach Junior and Senior class in pastor Ben's office.

Friday Night Fellowship: There will be no fellowship on 01.24.20 for Chinese New Year. Enjoy the celebration with your family. We will have a movie night on 01.31.20.

2020YouthWinter Retreat: Praise God for 80 people who will be participating in our youth retreat on 2/7-9 at Forest Home: Ojai Valley. All packing list and program book will be on 2.2.20. Please inform your parents to drop you off at church before 3 pm on Friday, 02.07 and pick you up at church on Sunday, 02.09 at 3 p.m. Pastor Jonathan Yang will be our speaker and Peter Lee with his Undignified Praise Band will lead our worship.

Youthnew website: Send your personal testimony to Ethan. May it be a blessing to others this year.

Baptism Class: Our new baptism class will begin on Sunday, 01.26.20 in youth center from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Talk to your parents and Pastor Ben after the service to join in.

SENA: February 2020 SENA edition is available. Pick up your own copy at Pastor Ben's office after the service.

ALL CHURCH

Elder Board Meeting will take place on 1/28 (Tues.) at 7:30 p.m. in Grace Hall. Please pray for wisdom from the Holy Spirit, that they may make decisions in line with God's will.

Celebrate Chinese New Year:We wish everyone a blessed Chinese New Year! May you deeply experience abundant grace in the new year and share God's love with those around you. Church will be closed on 1/24 in observance of the holiday. Check with your small group for meeting.

2019 Special Thanksgiving Offering:A huge thank you to all the brothers and sisters who donated to our 2019 Special Thanksgiving Offering. We received a total of $25,910.14. This donation will be allocated towards the North Iraq Refugee Relief ministry (25%) and Taiwan West Coast Missions Ministry (75%). Please continue to keep these ministries in your prayers and take part in God's work for the sake of His glory!

Meal & Scrip Gift Cards: Don't miss the opportunity to purchase gift cards for family and friends this Chinese New Year! They will be available to buy along with meal cards in the main courtyard.

Agape Caring Center

Seniors Spring Happiness Festival will be held on 2/8 (Sat.) 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at church. The purpose is to care and bless the seniors who are 60 years or older. We encourage you to invitenon-believer seniors to join us and invite them to join the "Happiness Group." In addition to exciting programs, touching testimonies, delicious food, gifts and red envelope will be given.
