CONNECTIONS

50 Days of Vibrant Community: Pastor Ken and the team will speak on creating vibrant communities [small groups] in our congregation. It is our hope that 80% of our people will commit to be a part of a group and use their gifts to grow their community. Imagine Heaven: What is heaven really going to be like? What will we look like? What will we do? Who will you bring with you to heaven? How will you live if you have heaven in your mind? We will find answer to these questions in E-7 at 11:30 a.m. Paul will be teaching on hell.

ThrYve Community: Come fellowship with other young adults and study the book of 1 Corinthian this Friday. Contact Tiffany Lin at squeakypoof@gmail.com for more info.

Family Life Community: We’re currently focused on “Building Community.” We are watching videos, playing games, and spending time to share, pray, and support one another. Join us at 8 p.m. in E-8. Contact John Shao at john_shao@yahoo.com.

Women’s Community: We meet on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at Anni’s home, 8:30 a.m. Contact Anni for more info: wonganniy@yahoo.com. The group is discussing “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

Sunday Community: Sundays at 1:30 p.m. at the Cheng residence. Contact Paul at paul.c.cheng@gmail.com or Jack hijack@gmail.com for info. We are using Kay Arthur’s book “How to Study the Bible” this fall.

Light House Community: Meet at Andrew and Liz’s home on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in Temple City. Contact Andrew at Andrewlamcpa@yahoo.com. They are studying “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

Saturday Prayer Meeting: Join us to seek the Lord for His guidance on Feb. 1, 9 a.m. in Grace Hall.

YOUTH

Sunday Service: We will have the combined and communion service at 9:30 a.m. in Chapel 2 TODAY. Let's prepare our hearts.Pastor Ben will continue sermon on the mount series on 02.02. TODAY. There will be no regular Youth Sunday service on 02.09 as many of us are participating in youthretreat. Join Sunday service with your parents.

Sunday school: All Sunday school classes begin at 11:30 a.m. TODAY.Pastor Ben will teach all junior high class in E-9. Auntie Anni, auntie Vicky, and auntie Virginia will teach Freshman and Sophomore class in E-10. Dr. Glenn will teach Junior and Senior class in pastor Ben's office. There will be no Sunday school on 02.09.

Friday Night Fellowship: We will have a movie night on 01.31. No Friday Night Fellowship on 02.07 due to youth retreat.

YM Special Friends Meeting: Inviting all youth members who are interested in partnering for special needs friends to meet at 12:45 p.m. in youth center TODAY.

2020YouthWinter Retreat: Praise God for 80 plus people who will be participating in our youth retreat on 2/7-9 at Forest Home: Ojai Valley. All packing list and program book will be distributed on 02.02. Please inform your parents to buy dinner to eat on the bus before dropping you off at church at 3 p.m. on Friday, 02.07 and pick you up at church on Sunday, 02.09 at 3 p.m.Pastor Jonathan Yang will be our speaker and Peter Lee with his Undignified Praise Band will lead our worship time.

Youthnew website: Send your personal testimony to Ethan. May it be a blessing to others this year.

Baptism Class:Our new baptism class will begin on Sunday, 02.02 in youth center from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Talk to your parents and Pastor Ben after the service to join in.

SENA: February SENA edition is available. Pick up your own copy at Pastor Ben's office after the service.

ALL CHURCH

Elder Board Meeting will be held on 1/28 (Tues.) at 7:30 p.m. in Grace Hall. Please pray for wisdom from the Holy Spirit, that they may make decisions in line with God's will.

2020 Happiness Groups: Mandarin Congregation and House of Abundance will kick off their 3rd phrase of Happiness Groups on Sunday 2/16. Please pray!

2019 Offering Receipt: The church will send out 2019 offering receipt. If there are any changes of address, or the residence address is different from the check, please contact the church administration or email admin@fecsgv.org.

Meal & Scrip Gift Cards: We wish you all a Happy Chinese New Year and be blessed by Lord. Please go to the courtyard to buy gift coupons, supermarket cards, gas cards, and restaurant cards. Church Meal Card is $30 each. Optional green meal card (bring your own lunch containers) is not only environmentally friendly but will enjoy two extra meals free. Yellow general meal card will enjoy one extra meal free. The Gift Card profit will go to the Church Development Fund.

Agape Caring Center

Seniors Spring Happiness Festival will be held on 2/8 (Sat.) 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at church. The purpose is to care and bless the seniors who are 60 years or older. We encourage you to invitenon-believer seniors to join us and invite them to join the "Happiness Group." In addition to exciting programs, touching testimonies, delicious food, gifts and red envelope will be given.
